Job summary

ANELLO Photonics is hiring a Sr. EE/HW Engineer to own electrical architecture, from schematic design to board bring-up and manufacturing readiness. You will work on mixed-signal PCBA design, select components, and write hardware specs, collaborating with mechanical and manufacturing teams.

You will contribute to products in production and R&D stages, with emphasis on sensor integration, power protection, and robust testing. Strong communication and a product-first mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or MSEE).
• 5+ years of schematic design experience, ideally using Altium for schematic capture and board layout.
• Experience in system designs from concept to mass production.
• Experience with sensor integration including MEMS and GNSS RF design.
• Front-end power supply protection for products.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of electrical product design from concept to delivery to manufacturing.
• Design schematics and board layouts of medium to high complexity mixed signal PCBA.
• Manage electrical engineering CAD tools and libraries.
• Work with hardware team to select components and write hardware design specifications for board level assemblies.
• Collaborate with Sr ME to ensure board fitment, clearances, and thermal considerations.
• Create interface boards and systems for manufacturing.
• Export accurate manufacturing info to key vendors for board fabrication quality.
• Export accurate BOM information to purchasing team.
• Inspect first articles for IPC610 workmanship.
• Assist with board bring up, debug and standard EE lab work.

Job Summary:

Inertial Measurement Units are a fundamental part of modern consumer, automotive, autonomous and industrial electronics. ANELLO is developing next generation INS and IMU sensor technology based on silicon photonics based gyroscope technology. The Sr. EE / HW Engineer will own critical aspects of the electrical architecture and implementation, ranging from schematic board design and layout to bring-up, debug, and validation. In addition to products still evolving into production, we have multiple products in R&D/Prototype stages of LC.

In this role you will help shape future ANELLO products with a strong sense of ownership and a product-first mentality. You will help identify opportunities and drive new ideas into action, through both hands-on technical work and thoughtful cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Design schematics and board layouts of medium to high complexity mixed signal PCBA
• Manage electrical engineering CAD tools and libraries
• Work with hardware team to select components and write hardware design specifications for board level assemblies
• Work closely with Sr ME to ensure board fitment, clearances, and thermal issues are considered during board layout
• Create interface boards and systems for manufacturing
• Export accurate manufacturing info to key vendors to ensure board fabrication quality
• Export accurate BOM information to purchasing team
• Inspect first articles for IPC610 workmanship
• Assist with board bring up, debug and standard EE lab work

Requirements:

• BSEE or MSEE degree with emphasis on Analog, Mixed Signal, and DSP Design
• 5+ years’ experience with schematic design, ideally w/Altium for schematic capture and board layout
• Experience in system designs from concept to mass production
• Experience with sensor integration including MEMS and GNSS RF design
• Front-end power supply protection for products
• Communication buses including RS-232, RS-422, CAN, Ethernet, SPI
• Track record of delivering working product at product-oriented companies
• Excellent communications skills
• Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies is highly valued.
