Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Vision and Sensing Solutions in Wilsonville, OR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design high‑reliability digital hardware for avionics, with emphasis on circuit cards and high‑speed data links.

You will define requirements, perform architecture and layout oversight, and support testing, qualification, and early production builds. This is an onsite role with relocation support possible.

Qualifications

  • STEM degree required with 5 years of experience or advanced degree.
  • Experience with digital board design and high-speed data links is preferred.

Collins Aerospace Vision and Sensing Solutions Electrical Engineering is responsible for all electrical engineering activities related to the design, analysis, testing, and certification of aerospace Head‑Up Displays, Helmet‑Mounted Displays, and Avionics Vision Systems for both commercial and military applications.

This position is focused on digital hardware, with an emphasis on the design, implementation, and testing of complex digital circuit cards featuring high‑speed data links.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

What You Will Do:
  • Design high‑reliability electronic circuits for commercial and military avionics

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition Design and Layout Digital board design experience with multi‑gigabit serial links

This role may be eligible for relocation.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
