Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead complex electronics development from concept through production deployment.

You will design high‑speed digital and mixed‑signal hardware for RF, telemetry, and aerospace related applications. The role requires 5+ years in board‑level electronics, Altium Designer, and proven production transition experience; you will mentor juniors and collaborate with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Experience delivering high-reliability hardware for aerospace/defense/space or mission-critical apps.
• Strong background in digital and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience selecting components and driving designs from concept to release.
• Proven track record transitioning electronics hardware into production.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex electronics assemblies from concept through production deployment.
• Design hardware for RF systems, communications equipment, telemetry systems, and related apps.
• Develop circuits using FPGAs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, memory, and other programmable tech.
• Create schematics, BOMs, and documentation for advanced electronic designs.
• Design and optimize multilayer PCBs with high-speed, RF, and mixed-signal architectures.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, and worst-case analyses.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and design verification plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing to meet requirements.
• Support manufacturing transitions with production readiness reviews and collaboration with teams.
• Investigate and resolve issues during development, integration, testing, and production.
• Partner with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems eng teams to ensure successful product development.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and uphold engineering standards.

As Sr. Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for;

• Lead the development of complex electronics assemblies from concept development through production deployment.
• Design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware supporting RF systems, communications equipment, telemetry systems, and related applications.
• Develop circuits utilizing FPGAs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, memory devices, and other programmable technologies.
• Create detailed schematics, component selections, and supporting documentation for advanced electronic designs.
• Design and optimize multilayer PCBs, including high-speed digital, RF, power distribution, and mixed-signal architectures.
• Perform engineering analyses such as signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, and worst-case circuit assessments.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and design verification plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Support manufacturing transition activities, including production readiness reviews and collaboration with manufacturing and test teams.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues identified during development, integration, testing, and production.
• Partner with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to ensure successful product development.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers while supporting engineering best practices and design standards.

Qualifications;

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Experience developing high-reliability hardware for aerospace, defense, space, or other mission-critical applications.Strong background in digital and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience selecting components, performing trade studies, and driving designs from concept through release.
• Demonstrated success transitioning electronic hardware into production environments.
• Experience designing complex multilayer circuit boards, including high-density and high-speed architectures.
• Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and electrical performance analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency with PCB design and schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer.
• Strong laboratory skills including board bring-up, debugging, validation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of software, firmware, and mechanical integration considerations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Salary Range: $140K - $180K

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job‑related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
