Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Senior EHS Manager - Regional Service Line to lead environmental, health, and safety efforts in the Gulf Coast Division, spanning Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee. This role can sit in any Gulf Coast office and supports staff and clients nationwide.

You will mentor staff, manage projects, develop client relationships, and deliver reports and plans per Terracon standards. Strong technical writing and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role.
• Strong technical writing ability.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete work with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess EHS staff capabilities across the Division
• Develop EHS Growth Plans with Operational Leadership
• Work with Client Development and technical staff on implementing Growth Plans
• Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
• Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness
• Develop strong working relationships with clients
• Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
• Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies
• Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
• Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations

This person can sit in any of the Gulf Coast offices including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) efforts in Terracon’s Gulf Coast Division (Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee) and assist staff and clients across the country.

To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and possess a strong technical background with proven leadership skills. You will manage projects, prepare reports and other deliverables, and review documents prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality following company standards. You will also develop client relationships; and train, mentor, and direct staff on projects. You will serve as a point of contact for EHS services in the Gulf Coast Division and provide support on regional and national projects and pursuits.
