What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Sr. EDI Analyst to support, analyze, and enhance EDI operations within a supply chain and order-to-cash (OTC) environment integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This role serves as the primary liaison between SAP and EDI trading partners, ensuring smooth data exchange, compliance, and operational efficiency across internal teams, 3rd-party logistics (3PL) providers, co-packers, and co-manufacturers—both domestic and international.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in EDI transactions, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Supply Chain, Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, system troubleshooting, onboarding new trading partners, and optimizing data flow within an ERP-integrated supply chain network. The EDI Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders, SAP solution leads, and external partners to drive automation, resolve issues, and continuously improve EDI processes.

How You’ll Do It
EDI Technical Analysis & Subject Matter Expertise
  • Serve as the SME for EDI transactions within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud operating environment.
  • Provide guidance to customer support teams, trading partners, development teams, and EDI providers.
  • Analyze business requirements for EDI and develop functional specifications for application developers.
  • Lead the onboarding of new trading partners, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Implement new EDI transactions to enhance automation and streamline operations.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud integration with supply chain and OTC processes, ensuring data consistency and compliance.
EDI Issue Resolution & System Support
  • Monitor EDI production systems and take appropriate action to resolve issues proactively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI processing issues for internal and external customers.
  • Investigate and reprocess failed EDI transactions, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with trading partners’ EDI teams and communication providers to resolve transmission issues.
  • Maintain EDI mailbox monitoring and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Manage EDI provider portals, ensuring system uptime and data integrity.
  • Ensure alignment of EDI transactions with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Supply Chain and OTC workflows.
EDI System Enhancement & Continuous Improvement
  • Enhance monitoring systems to track end-to-end processing of EDI messages.
  • Maintain comprehensive EDI documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and compliance.
  • Analyze trends, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements to optimize EDI workflows.
  • Develop strategies to increase automation, minimize errors, and improve data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA team to continuously improve Order-to-Cash and Supply Chain execution.
Relationship Management with Customers, 3PLs, Co-Packers, and Co-Manufacturers
  • Ensure timely and accurate EDI data reporting to partners.
  • Address transaction failures and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Identify performance gaps and provide coaching and mentoring to improve service levels.
  • Collaborate with internal Supply Chain, Logistics, and IT teams to maintain alignment between EDI processes, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, and OTC operations.
Project Management & Implementation
  • Develop and execute EDI project work plans, adjusting to changing requirements.
  • Provide status updates to business users on the progress of EDI projects and implementations.
  • Manage projects involving multiple trading partners, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Work with IT and external EDI providers to implement new integrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Facilitate daily scrum meetings to drive alignment on priority and progress.
  • Escalate resource or partner-related issues to the technical lead as needed.
You have…
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT, Supply Chain, or Business Systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience in EDI implementation, troubleshooting, and system support.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI transactions and formats, particularly within Supply Chain and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI transactions 850, 860, 940, 945, 943, 944, 947, 846, 856, 870, 888, and more.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Supply Chain and OTC processes.
  • Familiarity with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and best practices for data exchange.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferred: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud) and third-party EDI providers.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) to engage with internal stakeholders and external trading partners.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders while ensuring alignment between business and IT teams.
  • Strong customer service mindset, with a focus on responsiveness and issue resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Pluses
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud integration tools and APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based EDI solutions and integration platforms.
  • Knowledge of supply chain automation, logistics tracking, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Experience working with international EDI trading partners.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
