Ensure group's activities role model safe behavior, follow proper protocol and procedures, including core values.* Lead cross functional teams to support supplier engineering objectives and ensure sourcing decision is consistent with overall strategy.* Set and drive clear goals for cost savings, value creation and vendor performance in context of business unit operating plan.* Maintain effective relationships with key internal customers and support organizations. Work with cross functional departments, to develop cost reduction and avoidance initiatives and supply base improvement projects (Maintain Key Relationships).* Utilize deep understanding of industry, supplier dynamics and market trends to determine sources of leverage. Evaluate, qualify, & select suppliers. Understand framework and help executing to AOP.* Maintain continuous awareness of ongoing vendor performance in assigned commodity/service areas.
