Job summary

Optum, a global health services organization, seeks a Director, Strategy & Growth in Massachusetts. You will partner with the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer to translate enterprise priorities into regional initiatives and drive payer, growth, and partnership strategies.

In a highly matrixed environment you will lead cross-functional teams, develop reporting and metrics, and guide decision-making to improve performance and outcomes across markets and partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, value-based care, payer/provider contracting, consulting, or related fields.

• Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines.
• Direct work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external).

The Director, Strategy & Growth will partner directly with the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer to support strategic planning, enterprise alignment, and execution on key strategy and growth initiatives across the East Region. Operating within a highly matrixed environment, this leader will help translate enterprise priorities into actionable regional initiatives, align stakeholders, and drive execution of key payer, growth, and partnership strategies. The role serves as a central integrator across markets, national teams, and functional leaders to support decision-making, operational effectiveness, and execution.

Primary Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $159,300 - $273,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
