Circana, a leading provider of technology, AI, and data solutions for consumer-packaged goods, is seeking a senior software engineer to design and deliver custom applications across U.S. locations.

This role requires leading onshore and offshore teams, overseeing the full lifecycle from requirements to deployment, and collaborating with business stakeholders to refine technical solutions. You will mentor high-performing teams and drive innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering

Qualifications

• Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 7 years of experience as a software engineer or in software development
• Bachelor’s + 9 years of experience also acceptable
• 2 years experience leading and guiding technical IT teams
• Demonstrated experience with software architecture designs/principles
• Experience with UI frameworks/interfaces, Java development; ML; Python; Node.js/Angular, React.js
• High-volume web platforms; cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
• Demonstrated experience contributing to innovation, continuous improvement & engineering excellence
• Telecommuting permitted

Responsibilities

• Design, architecture, and delivery of custom applications and technology solutions for the CPG and data analytics industry across multiple U.S. locations
• Manage IT development teams, including onshore and offshore resources
• Architect, design, and develop custom web applications from concept through deployment
• Oversee the full application lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support
• Launch and scale custom applications and solutions built from the ground up
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and refine technical solutions
• Build, mentor, and maintain high-performing engineering teams to execute technical strategies and business objectives
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence across development initiatives
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts between onshore and offshore delivery teams
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of custom applications and technology solutions for the CPG and data analytics industry across multiple U.S. locations.
• Manage IT development teams, including both onshore and offshore resources.

Technical Skills: Software development concepts and software architecture designs and principles; modern UI frameworks, Java development, Agile development methodologies, working with large datasets & business intelligence solutions; cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies; machine Learning; Python; node.js/Angular, React.js; high-volume web platforms; cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), scalability and deployment strategies.
Requirements

Location: Various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL)
Salary $202,779 USD annually. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
