Job description

Senior Director, Product
About the role

We are hiring a Senior Director of Product to help shape and lead some of Chime’s most important opportunities for our members and our business. You’ll lead a product organization of approximately 10-15 people, setting the vision and strategy across a broad, high-impact area while developing the leaders and teams responsible for bringing that strategy to life. You’ll identify opportunities that can meaningfully expand Chime’s reach and impact, make consequential choices about where we invest, and turn those opportunities into products and experiences members love. This is a highly strategic leadership role for someone who can move fluidly between setting a multi-year vision, leading a scaled organization, and partnering with senior leaders across Chime to define what comes next.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $326,000 and up to $383,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Set a compelling product vision and strategy for a significant area of Chime, connecting member needs, market opportunities, and company priorities into a clear path forward.
  • Lead a product organization of approximately 10-15 people, creating the structure, leadership, and operating environment for teams to do their best work.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to expand Chime’s impact, using deep member understanding, data, experimentation, and market insight to determine where we should place our biggest bets.
  • Own a broad portfolio of product initiatives and make thoughtful investment and prioritization decisions across near-term opportunities and longer-term strategic bets.
  • Lead through experienced product leaders, developing senior talent, strengthening the leadership bench, and creating clarity and accountability across multiple teams.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Operations, and other functions to turn strategy into measurable member and business outcomes.
  • Serve as a senior product voice across Chime, influencing company-level decisions and helping shape how our products and product organization evolve as the business grows.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • Led a scaled product organization comparable to a 15-20 person team, including experience leading and developing experienced product leaders.
  • Owned a broad product portfolio or business area where you were accountable for strategy, investment, prioritization, and outcomes across multiple teams.
  • A track record of building and scaling products that delivered meaningful customer and business impact in a consumer technology environment.
  • Experience identifying significant new opportunities and translating customer, behavioral, and market insights into successful product strategies.
  • Built strong product teams and leadership benches, creating organizations that can move quickly and operate with significant autonomy while staying aligned around a common strategy.
  • Experience making consequential decisions in complex, ambiguous environments using a combination of data, experimentation, customer insight, and judgment.
  • Experience operating in consumer technology, financial services, marketplaces, subscription businesses, or another scaled digital product environment where trust, engagement, and customer experience matter deeply.
