Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned thought leader to deliver forward‑thinking enterprise architecture solutions for our SaaS‑based business. You will influence all aspects of our technology strategy and collaborate across global teams.

Core Responsibilities and Requirements

Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Architecture / Strategy – Collaborate with the CTO, technology leadership, principal engineers, and business stakeholders to develop an Enterprise Architecture vision and strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Strategic Planning – Work with various architects, partners, and our PE firm to deliver strategy, planning, and implementation of technical capabilities and platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build relationships across the organization to understand business needs and identify opportunities for new technical solutions.
  • Product Alignment – Coordinate with product management and engineering to scope, plan, estimate, and derisk roadmaps for consumer‑facing experiences and tools.
  • Thought Leadership – Present architectural models that align future technology needs with the company mission and growth objectives.
  • Platform Evangelist – Define, maintain, and communicate the company’s current and target platform strategy with reference architectures, business‑system capability maps, and deployment guidelines.
  • Technology Enablement – Drive adoption of new technology by delivering proofs of concept, design diagrams, technical documentation, business impact analysis, and ROI.
  • Architecture Governance – Create global architecture to govern security, scalability, sustainability, cost, and overall quality of infrastructure, systems, content, and data.
  • Hands‑On Support – Though not an individual contributor on production systems, provide technical assistance when needed.
  • Team Building and Management – Attract, hire and retain highly skilled architects.
  • Career Development – Assess skills and create career plans for direct reports.
  • Performance Management – Set objectives, deadlines, and provide feedback for direct and cross‑functional teams.
  • Mentor and Coach – Provide architectural guidance across the organization.
  • Escalation Point – Serve as the final point of escalation for complex technical challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of application development, software, and solution architecture with increasing responsibility; at least 5 years managing teams of 5+ architects or engineers.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience in SaaS platforms generating over $100 M in software revenue.
  • Passion for mentoring and building technical leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform teams and technology in a rapidly growing environment.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and delivering projects using Agile practices.
  • Experience with continuous delivery tools and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with data technologies: Spark, Tableau, AWS EMR, S3, and related AWS data tech.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, .NET, C++, and other programming languages.
  • Experience with serverless and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Strong API design and implementation skills.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Up‑to‑date with latest web and native mobile technology advancements.
  • Understanding of big‑data architectures, machine learning platforms, and BI visualization tools.
  • Experience with business‑system integration across accounting, supply‑chain, or manufacturing domains is a plus.
  • Experience with physical retail technology solutions is a plus.

  • Travel required up to 10% of the time.
  • Requires occasional lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements to operate a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required (close vision for computer work).
