Overview

General Purpose: The Sr Director, IT Data Analytics is a key member of the global IT leadership team at TPx, responsible for the strategy, governance, quality, architecture, and operational excellence of the company's enterprise data ecosystem. This role owns Enterprise Data Quality across all mastered data domains, provides leadership and stewardship of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated data platforms, and delivers scalable analytics capabilities that drive business insight, efficiency, and innovation.

This leader partners with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Customer organizations to ensure data is trusted, governed, accessible, and leveraged as a strategic asset. The role blends deep technical leadership, data governance expertise, modern data architecture, and service delivery discipline to enable secure, reliable, and high-performance analytics at scale.

Success in this role requires a highly technical and operationally focused leader who is comfortable in the details of data pipelines, quality frameworks, metadata management, and analytics platforms while also shaping long-term enterprise data strategy. This individual must be passionate about eliminating data inconsistency, manual reconciliation, and fragmented reporting processes by driving standardization, automation, and governance. You must be able to work directly with engineering and data platform teams while also translating complex data topics into business value for executive stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance
    • Provide thought leadership and build alignment around the enterprise data strategy, governance model, and long-term data platform roadmap
    • Establish and lead the Enterprise Data Governance framework, including data ownership, stewardship, standards, and policies
    • Own Enterprise Data Quality across all mastered data domains (customer, product, etc.)
    • Define and enforce data quality standards, monitoring, remediation processes, and KPIs across systems and platforms
    • Lead master data management (MDM) and reference data governance practices
  • Data Platform & Warehouse Ownership
    • Own the architecture, performance, reliability, and scalability of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and modern data platforms
    • Oversee ingestion pipelines, transformation frameworks, semantic layers, and data modeling standards
    • Ensure high availability, performance, and integrity of production analytics and reporting environments
    • Drive automation, observability, and operational excellence across the data lifecycle
    • Align data architecture with cloud strategy, security requirements, and enterprise integration standards
  • Analytics & Business Enablement
    • Deliver enterprise analytics capabilities that enable self-service BI, advanced analytics, and operational reporting
    • Partner with business leaders to translate strategic and operational needs into scalable data and analytics solutions
    • Establish standards for metrics definitions, business logic consistency, and trusted enterprise reporting
    • Support data science, predictive analytics, and AI initiatives through well-governed, high-quality data foundations
  • Service Delivery & Operations
    • Ensure continuous delivery of data and analytics services through oversight of SLAs, KPIs, and system performance metrics
    • Lead incident, problem, and change management for data platforms
    • Drive process maturity, documentation, and operational discipline within the data organization
  • Leadership & Financial Management
    • Develop and maintain the leadership structure for the Data & Analytics organization
    • Develop justifications and cost/benefit analyses for data platform investments and initiatives
    • Develop, track, and control the organization's annual operating and capital budgets
    • Promote and oversee strategic relationships with cloud, data platform, and analytics vendors
    • Align departmental goals and objectives with corporate strategy
  • Security, Compliance & Risk
    • Ensure data platforms meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
    • Support audits, controls, and remediation activities related to data governance and protection
    • Oversee data classification, retention, and access management practices
Other Responsibilities
  • Own and advance the enterprise data strategy, providing leadership over governance, quality, architecture, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to deliver scalable, secure analytics platforms
  • Partner with senior leaders across the business to ensure enterprise data is trusted, accessible, standardized, and leveraged as a strategic asset
  • Translate complex data and technical concepts into clear business value, driving automation, consistency, and actionable insights for executive decision-making
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressively broadening leadership experience in enterprise data platforms, data architecture, analytics engineering, or enterprise data management
  • Hands-on leadership experience owning and operating an Enterprise Data Warehouse or modern cloud data platform in a high-volume, production environment
  • Deep expertise in data integration (ETL/ELT), data modeling, analytics architectures, and BI/reporting platforms
  • Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data governance best practices
  • Experience working in secure, regulated environments
  • Proven ability to define and execute a strategic data roadmap while balancing short-term operational demands
  • Demonstrated success establishing and managing KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics for enterprise data services
  • Experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing data engineering, BI, and analytics teams, including globally distributed teams
  • Strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex data and technical concepts to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across IT and business teams to build alignment, trust, and accountability
