Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks a Sr. Director, AI Technology & Manufacturing to drive the expansion of Qualcomm’s technology and manufacturing agenda within GMTO.

This leader will unify distributed efforts into a funded, executable roadmap spanning silicon, packaging, substrates, memory, power, thermal, test and system development. The role requires deep semiconductor expertise and cross-functional leadership across GMTO, Datacenter, Automotive BU, Design, Supply Chain and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 9+ years hardware engineering experience.
• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years hardware engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead datacenter technology and manufacturing agenda across test, packaging, substrates, memory, power, thermal and system development.
• Develop an integrated STCO roadmap across silicon, package, power and thermal aligned with BU plans.
• Translate long-range requirements into actionable technology, manufacturing, capacity and capability plans.
• Drive qualification through scale for datacenter technologies (QCM/HBM, EMIB, SI/PI, thermal).
• Secure capacity across advanced-node wafer, substrates, OSAT/CM and memory; manage supplier capacity agreements.
• Lead stand-up and scaling of datacenter test capability across sites; establish burn-in, system-level test, thermal management strategies.
