About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr Digital Modeler to join our automotive design team. As a Digital Modeler, you will transform design concepts into high-quality 3D digital models that bring vehicle visions to life. Working closely with exterior and interior designers, clay modelers, and engineering teams, you will play a critical role in shaping the aesthetic and functional form of future vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate 2D design sketches and scan data into accurate and high-quality 3D surface models (Class A or equivalent).
• Develop and refine digital surfaces for both concept and production vehicles using industry-standard software such as Alias, Blender, or similar tools.
• Alias modelers highly proficient in NURBS modeling, with good styling /design sense and experience in professional Automotive digital modeling.
• Modelers may be expected to build High quality Automotive Exterior Surfacing, Interior Modeling with good understanding of balance and proportion.
• Collaborate with exterior and interior designers, clay modelers, and engineers to ensure design intent and feasibility throughout the development process.
• Apply surface evaluation techniques to ensure curvature continuity, highlight control, and visual harmony.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to design problem-solving and iteration.
• Manage and organize digital model data within PLM or studio-specific file structures.
• Support visualization and virtual reality reviews by providing clean and optimized digital models for rendering or immersive environments.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Digital Modeling, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital modeling, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry.
• Proficiency in digital modeling software such as Autodesk Alias, Blender, Rhino, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of form, proportion, and surface quality.
• Ability to translate artistic and conceptual input into precise, manufacturable surfaces.
• Familiarity with design-to-engineering workflows, surface classification (Class A/B/C), and CAD integration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high level of attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VR/AR modeling and visualization tools (e.g., VRED, Unreal Engine).
• Background in parametric modeling (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX) is a plus.
