Job Description
As an Individual Contributor, this role supports sales growth through digital lead engagement, online application support, outbound calling, and proactive client outreach. The role is focused on converting sales opportunities, supporting deposit and lending growth, and helping Premier and mass market customers complete digital banking and product-related interactions. This role independently manages complex sales-focused customer interactions while contributing to sales, service, operational, and compliance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Digital Sales and Client Outreach Independently engages prospective and existing customers through digital and telephone channels to identify needs, recommend appropriate products and services, and support sales conversion. Promotes consumer deposit and lending solutions, supports onboarding efforts, and generates referrals to specialized business partners when appropriate.
- Application Support and Pipeline Management Manages a daily pipeline of digital applications, leads, follow-up activities, and customer requests while maintaining productivity, quality, and turnaround standards. Reviews application information, obtains required documentation, and supports accuracy throughout the application and follow-up process.
- Sales-Focused Customer Support Provides advanced support for customer inquiries, product questions, account solutions, and sales-related service needs. Applies sound judgment to address concerns, remove barriers, and support a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Compliance and Risk Awareness Processes customer requests and sales-related activities in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintains awareness of Fair Banking requirements, Anti-Money Laundering regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and other applicable requirements to help minimize operational and compliance risk.
- Sales Campaign and Continuous Improvement Support Participates in sales campaigns, onboarding initiatives, referral generation efforts, and digital sales programs that support departmental objectives. Provides feedback and recommendations to improve workflow effectiveness, customer follow-up, and digital sales outcomes.
- Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry. If not yet registered, registration to be completed and accepted no later than 30 days from employment or transfer date. If not registered and accepted, employment may be terminated.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in consumer lending, consumer sales, digital banking, contact center sales, branch banking, relationship management, or a related support role.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced knowledge and skill proficiency in professionalism, customer experience, product/service knowledge, bank acumen, consultative solutions, results driven, problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, accuracy and efficiency, communication, and agility.
- Intermediate knowledge and skill proficiency in laws and regulations, technology literacy, and risk management.
- Knowledge of consumer deposit and lending products, digital banking channels, online application processes, customer relationship management practices, lead generation, referral processes, and applicable banking regulations. Demonstrates strong communication, active listening, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Must be able to support sales outcomes while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality customer experience.
