Job summary

Overview

Sr DevOps Engineer with a focus on GCP-based infrastructure and DevOps operations. Supports and modernizes the application and cloud platform landscape, including customer-facing and internal websites/applications such as WebSphere / HCL Commerce and WebSphere Application Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production and non-production environments on GCP.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps processes.
• Support customer-facing and internal websites, applications, and cloud-native platforms.
• Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Manage deployments, environment configurations, secrets, certificates, and platform integrations.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and support teams to ensure reliable and secure operations.
• Drive improvements in availability, scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform standardization, documentation, release management, and change management practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor).
• Strong expertise in CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Experience with Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including Vault, IAM/RBAC, and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash/Shell (Go preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, middleware, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting production web applications and customer-facing platforms.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), HCL Commerce, or similar enterprise application platforms.
• Experience supporting eCommerce or other business‑critical digital platforms.
• Familiarity with middleware, web servers, certificates, integrations, and enterprise release/change management processes.
