Opportunity

Driving better future mobility – VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. This role is essential in developing projects, managing technical requirements, and ensuring strong, innovative collaboration across LG and automotive manufacturers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage all project development quality during and after development.
  • Resolve software and hardware issues and communicate with customers to handle these issues.
  • Coach and mentor engineers, serving as a one‑stop shop for OEM customers and internal teams.
  • Manage OEM customer design requests, develop APQP, and manage 3rd‑party solutions.
  • Develop features (if necessary, multiple functions).
  • Plan and manage multiple feature development milestones.
  • Support:
    • Resolving business, manufacturing, and technical issues.
    • Identifying and managing all feature issues and publishing a weekly report.
    • Cross‑functional team validation, manufacturing, procurement/purchasing, sales and quality, customers.
    • Communicating with LGE HQ cross‑functional teams.
    • Releasing weekly development progress reports and communicating with customer engineers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive component development or testing.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of:
    • Managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and delivering on cost, quality and timing expectations.
    • Automotive development processes or new technologies for industry players.
    • Vehicle infotainment features & telematics and vehicle interface technology products.
    • Hardware development skills (EE design process including schematic design, board layout, circuit analysis, Wi‑Fi/Modem/BLE/Bluetooth/UWB/Cellular).
    • Working across multiple disciplines (SiriusXM, Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, audio control, RF, OTA, VIF, CPU & Micom, network, hardware, testing).
    • Leading and managing engagements with customers (usually internal), collaborators, and 3rd‑party developers.
    • MS Office software applications.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with transparency.
    • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
    • Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies.
    • Passion for technology and problem solving.
Travel/Physical Requirements
  • Up to 40% travel, including out‑of‑state and international travel as required.
  • Use of X‑ray equipment and environmental chambers.
  • Ability to:
    • Sit/drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, up to 4 hours at a time.
    • Lifting/carrying up to 30 lb samples, benches, boxes and tools.
    • Interact with display/center controller/steering wheel while driving or while stationary testing.
Preferred
  • Prior experience with vehicle infotainment & telematics features and vehicle interface technology products.
  • Complex systems.
  • IATF 16949 certification.
  • APQP & FMEA certification.
