Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead planning, design coordination, and execution of hyperscale data center projects. You will act as the owner's representative, partnering with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and teams to deliver complex facilities across domestic and international locations.

The role covers design management, project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing design and construction projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Experience acting as owner's representative and coordinating with stakeholders.

Role description

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the planning, design coordination, and execution of hyperscale data center projects. Acting as the owner's representative, this individual will partner with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and project teams to deliver complex, mission-critical facilities across domestic and international locations.

The role is responsible for design management, project planning, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Role accountabilities

• Serve as the owner's representative through all phases of design and construction.
• Lead coordination of design teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management processes.
• Oversee design reviews, constructability assessments, value engineering, and quality control activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing design and construction projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE, RA, PMP, CCM, or similar professional certification.
• Experience delivering hyperscale data centers, mission-critical, or complex industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with BIM/VDC and digital project delivery tools.
• Experience within owner's representative, program management, or construction management environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across diverse geographic locations.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.

The salary range for this position is $102,400 - $153,600. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
