You will manage a large caseload, perform high-level trials, negotiate plea agreements, and mentor junior attorneys while upholding professionalism and integrity in all proceedings.

The Senior Deputy District Attorney performs professional legal work in the prosecution of criminal cases in the 17th Judicial District, acting on behalf of the District Attorney and representing the People of the State of Colorado. Attorneys in this category have consistently demonstrated the experience and competence necessary to handle first chair/lead prosecutor responsibilities on any type of case, regardless of complexity. Attorneys have also demonstrated leadership ability and consistency in developing working relationships with law enforcement, the judiciary, the defense bar, victim groups, and the community.
