Job summary

Amazon Publisher Services (APS) is seeking a Sr Data Scientist to help publishers monetize content through server-side header bidding and data-driven optimization. You will acquire and analyze large-scale datasets, design experiments, develop statistical and machine-learning models, and partner with Scientists, Engineers, BIEs, and Product Managers to translate insights into action.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab) experience

Responsibilities

  • Solve real-world problems by getting and analyzing large amounts of data, diving deep to identify business insights and opportunities, design simulations and experiments, developing statistical and ML models by tailoring to business needs, and collaborating with Scientists, Engineers, BIE's, and Product Managers.

As a Data Scientist on this team, you will:

About the team

The Marketplace Services team within Amazon Publisher Services organization primarily focuses on improving monetization for our STV, Web, Mobile and Audio publisher customers. We directly work with 60+ 3p buyers to enable optimal connectivity for publishers to improve their yield. We also own products such as Connections Marketplace (CxM) and Signal IQ that help publishers connect to myriad of 3p and 1p ad tech vendors to boost their bid request quality, while measuring the value of each signal on their bid stream through rigorous A/B testing.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
  • 4+ years of data scientist experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience
  • 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
  • Experience managing data pipelines
  • Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
  • 4+ years of data science experience in ad tech (supply or demand side)
