Job summary

Insight Global in Spring, TX is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join our Data Analytics Team. You will lead data-driven projects using Databricks Lakehouse, MLflow, and Azure AI, mentoring junior team members and interns while guiding strategic decisions.

The role requires a strong background in Python, PySpark, and SQL, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable ML solutions in production. The role is hybrid with on-site work Tue–Thu.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
• Extensive Databricks AI Platform expertise, like MLflow, Unity Catalog, Feature Engineering, Model Serving, Lakehouse Architecture, and end-to-end MLOps capabilities.
• Strong Software Engineering, DevOps, and MLOps background, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps (or equivalent), automated testing, deployment automation, monitoring, observability, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced data science concepts to deliver data-driven digital offerings and insights using Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
• Utilize modern machine learning methods and domain understanding to support the creation of new products and services, leveraging MLflow for experiment tracking and model lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams and cross-functional departments such as digital, services, class, and engineering to build scalable ML solutions and deliver actionable insights.
• Write independent source code in Python, PySpark, and SQL, validate and test models, and use Databricks Feature Store for consistent feature reuse and governance.
• Develop and deploy scalable and interpretable data products per business-defined requirements using Databricks Repos, Model Serving, and Azure Machine Learning

A client in Spring, Tx is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join their Data Analytics Team. The Data Scientist must be proficient with Databricks and Azure AI. They would be joining a team of 3 other Data Scientist, helping with current and futuristic projects. This individual must be able to lead data-driven projects, guide strategic decisions, and provide strong mentorship to support junior team members and interns.

Job Duties:

• Apply advanced data science concepts to deliver data-driven digital offerings and insights using Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

This role will require working a hybrid schedule, on-site Tuesday-Thursday. The hourly pay rate ranges from $60-70/hr depending on years of experience and qualifications.

• Strong experience with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI solution development.
• Hands-on expertise with the Databricks AI Platform, including:

• Experience working with large-scale distributed processing using Spark/PySpark.
• Azure / AI Certifications

• Experience working in industrial, transportation, energy, maritime, manufacturing, or asset-intensive industries.
