Job description

Synergy Interactive provides the following pay range for the Data Modeler position. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Base pay: $165,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

What you’ll do:

• Apply ER Studio and Data Modeling expertise to a Data Engineering team dedicated to the design and development, and delivery of Data products leveraging Databricks on AWS
• Work with Business Architects, Solution Architects, and Data Stewards to capture business requirements in a Conceptual and Logical Data Model.
• Contribute to ongoing updates to data modeling standards and guidelines
• Evaluate physical data models to ensure they align with the corresponding logical data models.
• Create notebooks in Databricks in support of development activities (using Spark SQL, PySpark)
• Support enterprise data catalog setup and enrichment

Requirements:

• Data management background with hands‑on work experience in supporting teams that are building and testing data pipelines
• 4+ years of hands‑on data modeling experience with ER Studio.
• Hands‑on strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both enterprise and data product level.
• Good Databricks skills and understanding of Medallion Architecture
• Working knowledge of Unity Catalog
• Experience in the financial sector with Market securities reference data and fixed income such as Treasuries, highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of traditional DBMS platforms like Oracle and Cloud DBMS like Redshift and Databricks.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
