Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer III to join an enterprise technology organization supporting a modern, cloud-based data platform. This fully remote position requires residency in the EST or CST time zones and authorization to work in the United States.

You will lead design and development of scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and reporting solutions using SQL, Python, dbt, and Azure Data Factory, with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake as options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering or related experience.
• Strong SQL, Python, dbt, and/or C#.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Fabric.
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake is acceptable.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
• Background working in small or mid-sized environments with leadership experience.

Compensation for the Sr. Data Engineer III:

• Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience
• Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO, sick leave as required by law
