MMD Services is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to own enterprise data pipelines and a cloud data warehouse in a rapid-growth environment in Rosemont, IL. You’ll work across AWS services (IAM, S3, Glue, Redshift) and modern orchestration (Airflow) to deliver scalable data solutions and analytics capabilities.
You'll design, build, test, and deploy data pipelines, mentor junior engineers, shape data architecture, and collaborate with IT and business teams to enable fast, data-driven decisions
Our client is a large, multi-location, service-based enterprise with well over a thousand sites across the U.S. and Canada. It's in the middle of an aggressive growth phase - recent annual revenue growth in the 20%+ range, a public multi-year plan to nearly double revenue, and a recent public listing that's brought new visibility and momentum to the business.
That scale is exactly what makes this role matter. Every new location, every new system, every new data source adds weight to a platform that's still being built out, which means the work you do here won't sit quietly in the background. It'll show up in how fast the business can see its own data, make decisions, and scale further.
You'll be hands-on across the full AWS data stack including data lakes, analytical warehousing, and pipeline orchestration with real ownership of what you build and the autonomy to make it better. You will work across IAM, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, Airflow, and Terraform/CloudFormation - with the latitude to bring in new tools where they make sense.
