Senior Data Engineer | Enterprise Data & Analytics | Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Required

Are you an experienced Data Engineer who excels at turning complex, multi-source data environments into streamlined, secure, and actionable intelligence? We are looking for a technically versatile, mission-focused professional ready to architect and optimize enterprise data infrastructure in direct support of a high-profile government program.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of enterprise data strategy - designing data models, building scalable data warehouses and lakes, and engineering automated pipelines that connect diverse data streams across complex, multi-enclave environments. You will apply advanced ETL techniques to integrate large-scale datasets, reduce redundancy, and maximize data accessibility within strict security boundaries. Beyond infrastructure, you will develop cyber and operational analytic tools that empower analysts and downstream consumers to build smarter, faster products. You will also play a key role in establishing and enforcing data standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across the enterprise - ensuring data integrity, reliability, and long-term scalability.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications:

• Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
• Experience: 11+ years of relevant systems and data engineering experience

Required Technical Skills:

• Data Integration: Demonstrated experience integrating diverse, high-volume data streams from a wide variety of sources into unified, accessible data environments
• Data Transfer Tools: Hands-on experience with data movement and routing platforms such as Apache NiFi, Cribl, or comparable tools
• Data Standards & Governance: Proven ability to establish and enforce data standards, act as custodian of IT and service delivery datasets, and develop frameworks for capturing, modeling, storing, and delivering enterprise data
• ETL Engineering: Deep expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques across structured and unstructured datasets at scale
• Network & Log Analysis: Experience analyzing complex network architectures, multi-enclave environments, and log data from diverse network components and operating systems
• Pipeline Management: Strong ability to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot data feeds and automated pipelines in dynamic enterprise environments
• Splunk: Working familiarity with Splunk for data ingestion, search, and operational analytics
• Python: Proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting, and automation tasks
• Analytic Tool Development: Experience building cyber and operational analytic tools, including dataset procedures supporting data mining, modeling, and production workflows

NICE TO HAVE

Preferred Qualifications:

• Splunk Expertise & Certifications: Advanced hands-on Splunk experience, including development, administration, and relevant Splunk certifications
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or Ansible for automating data workflows and system tasks
• SecDevOps: Familiarity with Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps) principles within iterative, agile development environments
• Cloud Security: Experience implementing cloud security controls across enterprise environments
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments including AWS and Microsoft Azure
• AWS Certified Security Specialty: Holding or actively pursuing the AWS Certified Security Specialty certification is strongly preferred
