Job summary

Megazone Cloud is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data platforms and architectures on AWS. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, drive the data strategy with Databricks or Snowflake, and mentor junior engineers.

You will write and review Python and SQL, collaborate across teams, and help shape the technical roadmap with a startup mindset and a passion for data culture.

Qualifications

Megazone Cloud is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help lead and define our data-driven culture. You are a "builder" at heart, a seasoned expert who thrives on solving complex problems. You have deep expertise in data architecture, data wrangling, Databricks or Snowflake, and are a master of Python, SQL, and AWS.

What You'll Do

• Architect, build, and lead: Architect and own scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines on AWS, not just maintain them.

• Define the data ecosystem: Drive the strategy for our data environment, leveraging Databricks and/or Snowflake to create powerful, efficient data models.

• Write and review critical code: Develop clean, optimized, and automated solutions using Python and SQL. Set the standard for code quality and mentor junior engineers.

• Collaborate and multiply: Act as a key "force multiplier" within our cross-functional teams, leading ambiguous projects from conception to delivery.

• Be a flexible leader: Embrace a "builder" mentality. In a startup, you'll have the flexibility to solve diverse challenges, and your voice will be critical in shaping our technical roadmap.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• 5-8+ years of professional data engineering experience.

• Deep, expert-level proficiency with Python.

• Deep, expert-level proficiency with SQL.

• Hands-on, expert-level experience with Databricks OR Snowflake (certifications or experience with both is a huge plus).

• Expert-level experience building and managing data solutions on AWS.

• Deep expertise in designing and architecting scalable data platforms.

• Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous projects from conception to delivery.

• Experience mentoring other engineers and helping to level up the team.

• A "builder" mindset, a startup mentality, and a genuine thirst for knowledge.

• Exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to think fast.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with GenAI, AI/ML frameworks, and MLOps.

• Certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
