Job summary

ClifyX Inc. in Newark, NJ is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer for a 12-month contract.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/MIS and 5 years of experience building data lakes and data warehouses on AWS, with strong Python, Shell scripting, and SQL skills. You will work with AWS services such as CloudFormation, S3, Glue, Athena, EMR/Spark, Redshift, Lambda, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and you will design data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/SE/MIS.
• 5 years of AWS data engineering experience in large enterprises.
• Strong coding in Python, Shell, SQL.
• Extensive AWS services experience for data lakes/warehouses.
• Experience with serverless data apps and data pipelines.
• Experience building data ingestion pipelines in AWS.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and big data concepts.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience implementing and supporting data lakes, data warehouses, and data applications on AWS for large enterprises.
• Strong programming experience with Python, Shell scripting, and SQL.
• Solid experience with AWS services: CloudFormation, S3, Athena, Glue, EMR/Spark, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager.
• Experience in serverless application development and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience in system analysis, design, development, and implementation of data ingestion pipelines in AWS.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud-based architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
