Job summary

PTI Technologies Inc. in Oxnard, CA seeks a Data BI Architect to design, develop and maintain data business solutions, partnering with stakeholders to define reporting and analytics that drive strategic goals.

The role includes mapping data entities to SplashBI data warehouse and delivering monthly insights. You will provide consultative data analysis, review existing data architecture and implement improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust data governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in architecting and implementing BI and data warehouse platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data architecture best practices.
• Proficiency with Power BI, SplashBI, Oracle, and MS SQL stack.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and maintains Power platform dashboards for executive management.
• Develops and maintains reporting from ERP/CRM/Operations systems.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather data reporting requirements.
• Generates monthly insights and builds narratives using data.
• Provides consultative data analysis and dashboard guidance.
• Reviews data architecture and proposes improvements.
• Maps Business System data entities to SplashBI data warehouse for reporting and analytics.
• Identifies root causes of data issues and proposes solutions.
• Develops data flow architecture documentation and specifications.
• Provides maintenance and regulatory data solution support.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university

SUMMARY

Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data business solutions. Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the organization to determine what reporting and analytics are needed to achieve strategic business goals. Provides system support and troubleshooting expertise as needed to analyze data solutions for validity and accuracy. Reviews and recommendations for improvements to existing data architecture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, develops and maintains Power platform dashboards (or equivalent) for executive management team to achieve strategic business objectives.
• Designs, develops, and maintains all types of reporting derived from ERP, CRM, Operation systems to support the business.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the organization to gather and fully understand reporting and other data related requirements and needs.
• Generate monthly insights and collaborate with the management team on how to build a stronger narrative using data.
• Provides consultative services to key stakeholders to help them understand data analysis results and dashboards.
• Review existing data architecture and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Responsible for mapping key Business System data entities to SplashBI data warehouse for reporting and data analytics.
• Identifies and understands root causes of existing data problems and proposes innovative solutions.
• Develops architecture documentation and functional specifications for data flow analysis.
• Provides maintenance and regulatory support in data solutions.
• Will be required to perform other job duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• 5-10 years' experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and data warehouse platforms.
• Knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in cloud-based solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and supporting technologies such as PowerBI, SplashBI, Oracle and MS SQL.
• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; M.B.A. preferred.

Language Skills

• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer / Office Skills
