Leidos is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a complex, mission-critical DoD program near Fort Meade, MD.

The role focuses on developing and evaluating system engineering documentation, including security requirements and testing artifacts, and providing technical support for hardware/software integration and certification processes. The successful candidate will participate in requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation, and will support DoD Certification/Accreditation

Qualifications

• 12+ years of System Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field required; five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
• Information Assurance/Cryptographic experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
• Ability to work in a team environment and lead small teams.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity high assurance evaluation activities and review security evaluation documents to ensure devices meet security requirements.
• Attend and participate in security-related meetings and reviews to translate vulnerability knowledge into guidance to prevent/manage risk.
• Document security deficiencies found in evaluation artifacts and documents.
• Recommend clarification and process/template improvements to mitigate security concerns.

Are you seeking a new and challenging position supporting a complex, mission-critical Program? Well, look no further! Leidos is currently looking to add a Sr. Systems Engineer to an Information Assurance Program near Ft. Meade, MD.

The successful candidate will participate in the development/evaluation of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, security requirements and security testing documents. Provide technical support for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, and performing technical/non-technical assessments. Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes).

Primary Responsibilities

Perform cybersecurity high assurance evaluation activities to include reviews of security evaluation documents and other high assurance artifacts/documents for devices undergoing certification and assessment, to ensure devices meet security requirements. Attend and participate in relevant security-related meetings and reviews in an effort to translate vulnerability knowledge into guidance to prevent and/or manage risk. Clearly document security deficiencies found in the evaluation of artifacts and documents. Recommend requirement clarification and process/template improvement to mitigate security concerns.

Qualifications

Pay Range

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
