Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on security automation, SOAR, or workflow engineering.
• Strong scripting in Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, ServiceNow, and cloud security platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Terraform, and security compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SOAR playbooks to automate security alerts, threat detection, incident response, and ticketing.
• Automate user provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and privileged access processes.
• Automate audit processes, compliance reporting, evidence collection, and security controls.
• Develop automation using Terraform, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines to strengthen cloud security.
• Implement AI-powered security tools, including Microsoft Security Copilot, to improve investigations and threat response.

The Senior Cybersecurity Automation Engineer will serve as the primary automation expert within the cybersecurity department, responsible for building and improving automated security processes across the organization.

The role focuses on security automation, cloud security, identity and access management, and AI-driven security solutions. This person will work closely with the SOC, IT, Infrastructure, IAM, and Governance teams to streamline security operations, improve incident response, and reduce manual work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Automation: Build and maintain SOAR playbooks to automate security alerts, threat detection, incident response, and ticketing.
• Identity & Access Management: Automate user provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and privileged access processes.
• Governance & Compliance: Automate audit processes, compliance reporting, evidence collection, and security controls.
• Cloud Security: Develop automation using Terraform, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines to strengthen cloud security.
• AI & Emerging Technology: Implement AI-powered security tools, including Microsoft Security Copilot, to improve investigations and threat response.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Monitor automation performance, document processes, mentor team members, and advise technical stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

• 7+ years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience.

• Salary: $153,600–$169,000 + performance bonus.
• Schedule: Hybrid, onsite once per month.
