The Sr. Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for guiding customers through their multi-year cloud journey, ensuring effective collaboration among AWS teams to deliver optimal outcomes. This role focuses on understanding industry-specific needs and driving digital transformation for customers, leveraging cloud architecture experience to tackle challenges and enhance customer experiences. In the role, you will be a critical partner to our AWS customers, leveraging your delivery experience with large scale transformations to help shepherd the customer through their stages of AWS adoption. Guiding the customer through the operational, educational and governance aspects of a successful AWS Cloud journey.

You will interface with AWS customers and AWS leadership, driving collaboration between the other core account groups (Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture and Professional Services), product/engineering teams, and customer teams, planning and supporting major workload migrations. You will translate strategic initiatives in the account plan into executable actions, working backwards from our customers key milestones. The execution of education plans, roadmap to business outcome alignments, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live events and transitions are a few items owned by the CSM that are critical to the success of our customer’s cloud journey.

Successful candidates will have a strong delivery and change management background, be detail oriented, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and be exemplary communicators both at the executive and project team level. You will be a peer leader, with the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in. Your enterprise experience and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions, provide insight, and help drive secure and robust solutions.

You will evangelize AWS services and influence customers in adopting them. You should be passionate about delivering a great customer experience by deploying AWS solutions and inspiring innovation. You will be obsessed with contributing to the day-to-day management of your customers successful adoption of AWS.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience
  • 2+ years of customer-facing work, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies experience
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business or equivalent
  • Experience leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a proven ability to work across broad functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification
  • Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
