Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Controls Engineer on approximately 2–3 custom machinery projects at a time, with projects typically running 1–2 years.

  • Own controls-related hardware, PLC software, HMI development, and process considerations for assigned projects.

  • Lead customer kickoff meetings and serve as the primary controls contact throughout the project.

  • Contribute to the development of a standardized, scalable, and repeatable controls engineering approach across machine platforms.

  • Help improve engineering processes and reduce unnecessary time spent in the field during commissioning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with winding, unwinding, and/or web handling equipment.

  • Strong industrial controls and PLC programming background.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs strongly preferred.
