Job summary

Jensenhughes is seeking an experienced Sr. Consultant to join our team in Northeast USA, specializing in fire protection and safety services. This role involves project management, conducting building and fire code reviews, and preparing technical reports for diverse commercial and industrial clients.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Fire Protection, along with at least eight years of relevant experience. A Registered Fire Protection Engineer qualification is preferred, particularly with New York or Massachusetts code experience.

We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial projects for clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Project Management – planning and directing engineering, budgeting and scheduling activities
• Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection
• Qualified candidates will have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience that may include a combination of Code Consulting, Smoke Control Design and Commissioning and Fire Protection System Design
• Successful candidates will have excellent report writing and interpersonal skills. Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies to a diverse audience.
• Project management and fire protection engineering experience
• Experience in code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance‑based strategies in a project design environment is strongly desired
• Registered Fire Protection Engineer strongly desired (New York, New Jersey or New England)
• New York or Massachusetts specific fire and building code experience preferred

National Pay Range: $140,000 – $160,000 USD
