Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Construction Superintendent to oversee facilities construction in Bastrop, TX.

You will coordinate with design engineers, project managers, facilities staff, vendors and internal partners to deliver world-class facilities from start to finish. Required: high school diploma and 8+ years in construction, 4+ years leading multi-trade coordination on site; strong communication and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities projects and ensure contractors meet standards and timelines.
• Direct construction activities for internal resources and subcontractors; lead coordination meetings.
• Maintain daily logs, progress and financial reports; ensure safety and OSHA compliance.
• Review subcontractor performance, approve work, and manage payments after inspections.
• Schedule inspections, manage project requests, and create purchase orders as needed to keep execution on track.

SR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

As a member of the Construction Projects Team, you will responsible for overseeing thecoordination and fieldexecution offacilitiesconstruction projects. You will work withDesign Engineers,Construction Project Managers,FacilitiesandMaintenancetechnicians, vendors and internal partners to support these goals. You will have the opportunity to drive positive change and own projects from start to finish, with the goal of making the company projects into world-class facilities. This position is based in Bastrop, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate facilities projectstoensure vendors meet standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanship
• Plan and direct construction activitiesof internal resources as well as all involved subcontractors for each phase of construction andlead any coordination meetings between trades
• Work hand in-hand with Construction Projects Team to maintainaccurate records of daily logs, progress reports, financial reports related to the construction of facilities
• Enforce contract expectations from subcontractors and communication of any discrepancies
• Approves work being performed by subcontractors and handle any related issue
• Authorize payments of subcontractors upon thorough inspection of work
• Maintain a safe work site by implementing safety requirements, enforcing safe work habits, observing OSHA requirements and anyapplicableagencies' regulations
• Verify all checklists are complete and inspections are scheduled and passed
• Monitor cleanliness and hold subcontractors responsible for daily clean-up
• Schedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs
• Develop and maintain rapport with subcontractors,operators, and inspectors
• Coordinate inspections with local officials
• Review and manage project request tickets including creating work orders when neededand managing its completion
• Create purchase orders as necessary to support project timely executionincluding but not limitedto,rentals, material or subcontractor labor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 8+years of experience intheconstructionindustry
• 4+ years of experience leading the coordination of multiple trades on site

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R), concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
• Ability to conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers
• Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination items
• Demonstrated ability to independently and effectively manage projects in an extremely fast paced and changing environment
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite tools and PDF editor software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends as necessary to meet business needs
• Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support in emergency situations
• Physical effort including standing, lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment (25 lbs.)
• Occasional travel may be required based on project tasks
• Willingness to work outdoors in an environment requiring exposure to extreme temperatures and elevations
