Job summary

General Health System seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee construction and renovation projects for its facilities. You will manage the process, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure timely completion while complying with hospital policies.

The role requires experience in construction within healthcare settings, vendor management, and strong coordination across internal and external partners.

Qualifications

Description

JOB PURPOSE & MISSION

To implement and oversee construction projects, including both new construction and renovations, for assigned General Health System facilities for the age population served, as defined in the company Plan of Care.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages the construction process for assigned GHS facilities, for both new construction and renovations.
  • Develops relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors/subcontractors.
  • Orders needed materials and makes arrangements for pick up and/or delivery, as required to ensure adequate resources for projects.
  • Works to ensure communication flow between internal and external project members.
  • Ensures vendors, suppliers and contractors/subcontractors follow all necessary construction process protocols (i.e. ILSM, Infection Control, hospital policies, etc.).
  • Oversees progress and satisfactory completion of construction projects.
  • Acts as liaison between GHS and contractors on all assigned construction projects to ensure the project stays on track and is completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the technical aspects of all assigned construction projects
  • Prepares punch list at completion of each project within appropriate time frames.
  • Develops work scopes, budgets and material lists.
  • Performs and oversees purchasing duties.
  • Works with Accounts Payable Department to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Works with vendors to expedite credits and/or exchanges.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
