Job summary

Texas Children's in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Community Philanthropy Specialist to lead community-based fundraising initiatives engaging individuals, businesses, and organizations in supporting our mission.

You will manage partnerships, develop annual plans, and build relationships with donors, events, and partners to grow revenue and sustainable philanthropic support across the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required
• 3+ years of fundraising or related experience
• Experience with fundraising events and partnerships preferred
• Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting goals and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of revenue-generating partnerships, including third-party events and campaigns
• Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and 12–18 month strategies to achieve revenue goals
• Build and strengthen relationships with businesses, community organizations, fundraising partners, and individuals
• Provide strategic guidance, tools, and support to event organizers and partners to maximize engagement and results
• Partner with Major Gift Officers to identify and engage community fundraising prospects and build the philanthropic pipeline
• Represent Texas Children’s at fundraising events, check presentations, and partner meetings
• Serve as an ambassador for Texas Children’s and strengthen community relationships
• Monitor fundraising performance, analyze results, and identify opportunities for growth and innovation
• Maintain accurate donor activity and next steps in the CRM
• Collaborate with internal teams to align with organizational goals and donor stewardship practices

The Senior Community Philanthropy Specialist leads community-based fundraising initiatives that engage individuals, businesses, and community organizations in supporting Texas Children’s. This role manages a diverse portfolio of fundraising partnerships, develops strategies to grow revenue and engagement, and builds strong community relationships that drive sustainable philanthropic support.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a diverse portfolio of revenue-generating partnerships, including third-party events, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, Children’s Miracle Network partners, cause marketing, and point-of-sale initiatives.
• Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and 12–18 month strategies to achieve revenue goals.
• Build and strengthen relationships with businesses, community organizations, fundraising partners, and individuals.
• Provide strategic guidance, tools, and support to external event organizers and fundraising partners to maximize engagement and fundraising results.
• Partner with Major Gift Officers to identify and engage community fundraising prospects and help build the philanthropic pipeline.
• Represent Texas Children’s at fundraising events, check presentations, community activations, and partner meetings.
• Serve as an ambassador for Texas Children’s by sharing our mission and strengthening relationships throughout the community.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in fundraising, event planning, business, project management, community relations, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience with fundraising events, community partnerships, corporate relationships, or revenue-generating programs preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting goals and deadlines.
• Creative, proactive, and results-oriented approach to building relationships and driving fundraising outcomes.
