Job summary

Cirtec Medical is seeking a senior CNC programmer/lead to set up and maintain machine set-ups for complex part manufacturing. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs, tooling, and documentation while collaborating with engineers to ensure manufacturability and quality.

The position requires 5+ years of machining experience with a Lead/SME background, proficiency in CAD/CAM software, and strong problem-solving and mentoring skills for a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years machining experience and 2+ years in Lead/SME role preferred.
• Experience in CAD/CAM software (ESPRIT, PartMaker, GibbsCAM, SolidWorks).
• Programming of 3-5 Axis CNC Milling Machines (Vertical, Horizontal).
• Expertise in CNC programming languages (G&M-code, Macros, Variables).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and blueprint features.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Mentoring and training experience required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for programming, setting up and maintaining the set-ups for machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machine programs to manufacture complex parts and components.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining set up and production documentation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to address design for manufacturability concerns.
• Analyze and optimize existing programs for enhanced productivity and quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs to resolve issues and improve machining processes.
• Optimize tool paths and cutting parameters for efficient and accurate machining.
• Mentor machinists and programmers on programming techniques and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth production processes.
• Share knowledge and expertise to improve overall machining capabilities.
• Maintains print control through updates of programs and deletions of obsolete prints and programs.
• Keeps abreast of the latest technology regarding areas of expertise. Make recommendations to implement where feasible.
• Troubleshoots quality problems by effectively utilizing process control and corrective actions.
• Perform tool checks, order tooling, and fabricate tooling prints.
• Strive to increase production and streamline set-ups for optimum efficiencies and quality.
• Maintains a high level of efficient production.
• Maintains a no reject quality level.
• Supports activities required to implement and maintain the Company's strategic and departmental objectives.
• Effectively communicates with other departments, supervisors, and managers, including participation in meetings as required.

Must Have

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant machining experience and or a combination of work / education experience.
• Minimum 2 years in Lead /SME role preferred.
• Experience in CAD/CAM software (ESPRIT, PartMaker, GibbsCAM, SolidWorks).
• Programming of 3-5 Axis CNC Milling Machines. (Vertical, Horizontal)
• Expertise in CNC programming languages (G&M-code, Macros, Variables etc.).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials (SST, SST Alloys, Titanium, Peek, and precious metals).
• Ability to interpret GD&T and blueprint features.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Mentoring and training experience (Required).
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.

Salary Range: $30 to 42/hr based on skills and experience
