Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Sr Cloud Engineer to lead cloud automation across AWS, architecting scalable infrastructure and IaC governance with Terraform. You will build modular hosting frameworks, design secure IAM and network setups, and optimize costs while guiding teams in CI/CD practices.

You will collaborate with data and AI platforms, containerize workloads, and drive platform upgrades with automated compliance. This is a hands-on architecture role at Lennar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing AWS platform and infrastructure.
• Proven experience using Terraform, GitHub, and AWS.
• Hands-on experience defining IAM policies, roles, SCPs, and access governance.
• Experience building and supporting AWS infrastructure components (VPCs, subnets, routing, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Architect AWS landing zone and manage via account vending automation.
• Architect automated, modular cloud hosting frameworks.
• Establish IaC governance using Terraform and GitHub pipelines.
• Design reusable Terraform modules and IaC standards.
• Develop and maintain least-privilege IAM policies, roles, and boundaries.
• Design/manage AWS network infrastructure (VPCs, subnets, NAT, security groups).
• Support AWS data/AI platforms (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, SageMaker, Lambda, etc.).
• Drive platform upgrades with automated compliance policies.
• Lead containerization and CI/CD deployment automation.
• Mentor engineers in automation and CI/CD; participate in cost optimization.

You’ll champion DevOps, IaC, and cloud patterns across environments.Your Responsibilities on the TeamArchitect AWS landing zone, manage using account vending automationArchitect automated, modular cloud hosting frameworks.Establish IaC governance using Terraform and GitHub pipelines.Design reusable Terraform modules and IaC standards for secure, repeatable cloud provisioning.Develop and maintain least-privilege IAM policies, roles, and permission boundaries across AWS accounts.Design and manage AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, internet gateways, security groups, and network ACLs.Support AWS cloud infrastructure for Data & Analytics and AI platforms, including data lakes, analytics services, AI/ML workloads, secure data access, automation, monitoring, and cost optimization.Drive platform upgrades with automated compliance policies.Lead efforts to containerize workloads and automate deployments.Benchmark cloud services and propose cost-efficient alternatives.Define metrics-driven availability and cost guardrails.Review infrastructure automation for scalability and security.Build internal tools to abstract hosting complexity.Mentor engineers in automation and CI/CD pipeline design.Represent hosting automation strategy across product teams.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.5+ years of experience managing AWS platform and infrastructure.Proven experience using Terraform, GitHub, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).Strong hands-on experience with Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, reusable module development, remote state management, and automated validation.Experience defining IAM policies, roles, service control policies, permission boundaries, and access governance aligned to security best practices.Hands-on experience building and supporting AWS infrastructure components such as VPCs, subnets, routing, connectivity, compute, storage, load balancing, and DNS.Experience supporting AWS data and AI platform services such as S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Redshift, EMR, SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, and related security, networking, and automation patterns.Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate.Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.
