You will work with IT security, DevOps, and applications teams to enable cloud adoption, maintain Active Directory, VMware, and Linux/Windows servers, and mentor junior staff where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an Associate's Degree with 4 years of related experience.
• 2-5 years of progressive systems and cloud administration experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience (design, implementation, migration, and operations).
• Active Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500 or newer) preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services: VMs, VNets, Azure Storage, Azure Files, Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Azure AD/Entra ID, Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost management.
• Strong hybrid identity and networking skills (VPN Gateway, VNet peering, NSGs, firewalls).
• Linux Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, and hybrid connectivity.
• Provide hands-on administration of Azure resources (VMs, VNets, Azure Files, Azure Storage, Backup, Site Recovery).
• Implement and maintain security and compliance controls.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents using Splunk, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement after incidents or outages.
• Perform cost analysis and optimization of the Azure infrastructure with actionable recommendations.
• Manage hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD/Entra ID, SSO, MFA) and enforce RBAC.
• Contribute to cloud governance standards (policies, tagging, naming, access controls).
• Maintain and support on-premises platforms (AD, VMware, Windows Server, Linux Server, Nutanix HCI, Cohesity).
• Upgrade hardware/software/firmware, patch management, lifecycle management, warranty tracking.
• Ensure high availability, security, performance, cost efficiency, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with Application and DevOps teams to enable cloud adoption and best practices.
• Operate with limited supervision; mentor junior staff or lead small projects.
• Ensure accurate records of activities and coordinate with IT division and external vendors.
• Provide 24x7x365 IT operations support.

Sr. Cloud and Systems Administrator Location: Summerville, SC - Hybrid / 2 days onsite (No remote option). Rate: $130,000

Job Description: The Sr. Cloud and Systems Administrator manages ATI's mixed IT ecosystem, bridging the gap between traditional on-premises hardware and modern cloud-based resources.

This role is essential for maintaining system stability, security, and performance across hybrid environments. Maintains all of ATI's cloud and on-premises systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Works closely with IT security to ensure proper implementation of security controls. Assesses IT networking/technology requirements for business operations. Acts as senior technical staff member on projects.

We offer a hybrid schedule (in-office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule and flexible hours. Candidates will need to reside near Charleston, SC to ensure work site flexibility.

Essential Functions

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid connectivity.
• Provide hands‑on administration of Azure resources such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Files, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery.
• Implement and maintain security and compliance controls aligned with organizational policies.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents using Splunk, Azure, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and traditional tools.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement following incidents or outages.
• Perform cost analysis and optimization of the Azure infrastructure with actionable recommendations.
• Manage hybrid identity solutions (DUO, Azure AD/Entra ID, AD Connect, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access) and enforce RBAC policies.
• Contribute to cloud governance standards (policies, tagging, naming, access controls).
• Maintain and support existing on‑premises platforms (Active Directory, VMware, Windows Server, Linux Server, Nutanix HCI, Cohesity).
• Perform hardware/software/firmware upgrades, patch management, lifecycle management, and warranty tracking.
• Ensure high availability, security, performance, cost efficiency, and disaster recovery readiness across all environments.
• Collaborate with Application and DevOps teams to enable cloud adoption and platform best practices.
• Operate under limited supervision with significant latitude for independent judgment.
• May mentor junior staff or lead small project teams.
• Assures consistency in work and resolves or elevates issues as appropriate.
• Works with the entire IT Division to ensure that coordination and communications are highly effective.
• Works in conjunction with and/or leads external vendors.
• Ensures accurate and complete records of activities are maintained.
• Supports 24x7x365 IT operations.

Additional Responsibilities

• Supports on‑boarding of new IT staff.
• Continuously seeks opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Participates in project kickoffs and debriefs.
