Job summary

B.S.D. Capital, Inc. dba Lendistry is seeking a Sr. Closing Manager to oversee the Standard Loan Closing Team, coordinate with legal counsel, title and escrow, and ensure loans close in accordance with program requirements and internal policies.

The role combines hands-on document preparation with team leadership, staff training on policy changes, and performance reporting. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Previous Closing Management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7 years of equivalent experience.
  • Financial services work experience of 7-10 years.
  • Current experience with Federal loan program policies and documentation requirements.
  • Detailed oriented and strong organization skills.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft office products, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint.
  • Use of Salesforce.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must work effectively with other staff members, including building and maintaining relationships in a remote environment, and work well in a busy environment.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, operations and regulations.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the loan closing team, including measuring Key Performance Indicators and reporting to the management and executive teams.
  • Ensure loans are closed within the required time frames.
  • Interface with clients, legal counsel, title companies, escrow agents and underwriters for all matters as needed.
  • Review loan files to ensure they close accurately.
  • Provide Quality Assurance where needed.
  • Ensure collateral is perfected in accordance with loan approval, including mortgages and UCC filings are properly filed.
  • Work closely with the loan documentation team including reviewing documentation against the approval, reviewing documentation and work with the documentation team to clear any discrepancies noted in loan documents.
  • Ensure loans are disbursed appropriately, documentation is maintained in file and correct funding source utilized.
  • Ensure client introduction to loan servicing.
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors and CBO as needed.
  • Customer retention and communication.
  • Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.

Job description

A Day in the Life

The Sr. Closing Manager will assist in overseeing all responsibilities assigned to the Standard Loan Closing Team, including all aspects of closing and funding loan transactions in accordance with program requirements and internal policies and procedures. Additionally, this role will manage the processes, systems and personnel associated with Standard loan closing functions across all programs and products. The Sr. Closing Manager will work as a player-coach as needed; preparing loan documents, coordinating with legal counsel, title and escrow, closing loans and performing post-closing tasks themselves in addition to managing the other loan closing and documentation staff who perform similar functions. Ensure that staff is trained in all aspects of program requirements and remain up to date on changes within the lending industry. Some travel may be required.

Compensation Range

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $110,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors like job-related skills, experience, and state of residence. Physical Requirements

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
