Qualifications

  • LPN or RN with informatics experience; degree optional if experience meets criteria.
  • ASN/BSN 5 years of informatics experience required.
  • ASN/BSN 3 years of informatics experience with certifications required.
  • LPN 7 years of Informatics/EHR experience and certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads workflow mapping and gap analysis in clinical environments.
  • Designs validation and testing strategies with teams.
  • Serves as SME during go-live, adoption, and stabilization.
  • Guides change management and aligns stakeholders.
  • Mentors P1-P2 informaticists on workflow analysis and deliverables.
  • Keeps current on regulatory requirements, data standards, and best practices.
  • Analyzes data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Acts as liaison between clinical and IT to represent needs.

Job Summary The Sr. Clinical Informatics position provides expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems across multiple domains. This role collaborates with clinical and IT teams to enhance patient care, improve workflow efficiency, and support clinical decision‑making through the use of technology. The position may focus on specialized areas or other clinical functions, adapting best practices to meet the needs of various departments.

Essential Functions
  • Leads detailed workflow mapping and gap analysis across complex clinical environments.
  • Ability to Design comprehensive validation and testing strategies for system changes and optimizations in conjunction with the testing and validation teams.
  • Serves as subject matter expert during go‑live, adoption, and stabilization phases.
  • Guides teams through change management processes and ensures stakeholder alignment.
  • Mentors P1-P2 informaticists on workflow analysis, testing, and deliverable quality.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements, data standards, and industry best practices in clinical informatics, applying them to system design and management for the specialty area.
  • Analyzes data and performance metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinical departments and IT, ensuring that clinical needs are represented in system development and deployment.
Qualifications
  • LPN graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse Program Required
  • Bachelors/Associates in Nursing Preferred
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • ASN/BSN 5 years of informatics experience required
  • OR ASN/BSN 3 years of informatics experience and certifications required
  • OR LPN 7 years of Informatics/EHR experience and certifications required

  • Advanced understanding of clinical workflow design, optimization, and process improvement.
  • Strong skills in test planning, validation, and troubleshooting of clinical system functionality.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities to lead cross‑functional discussions.
  • Ability to interpret data and present insights for decision‑making.
  • Effective project coordination with the ability to lead portions of complex initiatives.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results independently.
  • Professionalism and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings.
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN License Compact Preferred OR
  • LPN Compact Informatics Preferred & Informatics, Build, or EHR Certifications Required
