Responsibilities
  • Support Clinical Research Operations from a financial perspective with accurate analyses, effective reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and insightful financial advice.
  • Develop departmental budgets and variance analyses using historical data to propose recommendations.
  • Manage cost view, budgeting, and month-end analysis; analyze variances to standard and identify root causes.
  • Analyze historical trends and project future performance using cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Develop forecasting models with variance analyses and data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare Monthly Operating Reports for executive management with data and root-cause analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst in pharmaceutical, clinical research, healthcare, or medical device sectors.
  • Experience with healthcare/clinical research business models and performance metrics; strong financial and accounting concepts in this industry.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficient in data extraction and analysis software.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey insights convincingly.
  • Curiosity about cause and effect; ability to build models and derive insights from data.
