Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking a Senior Clinic Assistant - CMA. This role involves managing patient care in collaboration with healthcare providers while ensuring proper documentation and sterilization practices. Ideal candidates will have experience in patient services and proficiency in EMR systems like Cerner or Epic.
The position requires a high-school diploma or equivalent, preferably with certification as a Medical Assistant. Full-time employment with essential functions focusing on patient data management and team collaboration is expected.
Employees in this classification are in the senior position of this career track and provide patient care management to an assigned clinic in the areas of clerical and clinical duties. In the clinical setting, the employee receives direct supervision from a physician or nursing supervisor in either oral or written form. In office, the employee receives direct supervision from the department administrator. The employee may supervise other medical assistants, clerical staff, and student positions. Work is performed under usual office and clinic conditions and may be stressful when working under emergency conditions. This position must be supervised by a registered nurse.
