Job summary

Farm Family is seeking a dedicated Claims Representative to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle auto and related liability claims. This role requires strong fact‑gathering, regulatory compliance, and coordination with vendors and defense counsel as needed.

Overtime may be required to meet business needs. The position is 100% in-office, with responsibilities including documenting hours and submitting timesheets according to policy.

Qualifications

• 2 years of claims or related experience.
• Maintain Continuing Education (CE) requirements for state licensing when appropriate.
• Completion of training on vendor and system applications for quality claim handling.
• Ability to obtain NY and TX adjuster licenses.

Summary:

The Representatives are responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of claims. This includes analyzing coverage, contacting the customers, investigating the facts surrounding the loss, arranging inspection, experts, and third parties. Representatives are required to understand and comply with Insurance Regulations, Statutes, and case law accordingly. The Representatives work closely with other departments, vendors and defense counsel as needed throughout the claim process.

Employees in this role are required to accurately record all hours worked and submit timesheets in accordance with company policy. Overtime may be assigned as business needs dictate, and employees are expected to work overtime when required.

This is a 100% in‑office position. Candidates must be able to work on‑site at a designated company office during standard business hours.

Essential Responsibilities

• Handles personal auto non‑injury liability claims, which includes first and third party, repairable losses.
• Demonstrates responsibility for handling first and third party claims, including injury and property damage.
• Handles multiple lines of business with a moderate level of complexity.
• Demonstrates responsibility for investigating coverage issues and/or liability as needed.
• Confirms coverage and the facts of loss through the initial investigation.
• Determines the appropriate method of inspection or review of facts.
• Makes liability determination based on investigation and the applicable negligence law.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations and requirements.
• Focuses on proper fact‑gathering, investigation and resolution of all claims.

Qualifications / Experience Required

• 2 years of claims or related experience.
• Maintain Continuing Education (CE) requirements for state licensing when appropriate.
• Completion of appropriate training on vendor and system application to ensure quality claim handling.
• Ability to obtain required adjuster license for NY and TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent years’ work experience.

Salary range is $43452 - $67500
