Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, expands its PIP Team with nationwide consideration for a Senior Claims Examiner - PIP. Analyze claims to determine coverage, set reserves, and settle claims per policy provisions and law.

A hybrid work model is offered, with remote consideration for qualified candidates outside the primary region, and competitive compensation based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three plus years of PIC related experience and an AIC Designation will be considered for employees in good standing with excellent claim audit scores.
• Compensation Range: $76,700 - $85,700. Ultimate salary offered will be based on applicant experience and geographic location.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance claims to determine extent of insurer's obligations.
• Settle claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law.
• Evaluate each claim; affirm or deny coverage; investigate to establish proper reserves; settle or deny claims promptly.
• Communicate with relevant parties and document communications and investigation results.
• Thoroughly understand coverage and policy terms for broad insurance areas; travel to attend customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is expanding our PIP Team with Nationwide consideration for a Senior Claims Examiner - PIP.

Summary

• Analyze insurance claims to determine extent of Insurer's obligations.
• Settle claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law.

A typical day will include the following

• Evaluates each claim in light of facts; affirm or deny coverage; investigates to establish proper reserves; and settles or denies claims in a fair and expeditious manner.
• Communicate with all relevant parties and documents communication as well as results of investigation.
• Thoroughly understands coverage, policy terms and conditions for broad insurance areas, products or special contracts.
• Travel is required to attend customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
