$40.83/hr - $63.00/hr

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • Design and prepare deliverables for site/civil development projects, ensuring successful completion within timelines and budgets.
  • Utilize organizational and scheduling skills to track project progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for solar and EV projects across the US.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and future opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
  • Experience in designing stormwater management and erosion control.
  • Minimum of 6 years in site civil engineering, with solar experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and permitting in Maryland and Washington, DC.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 6-10 years of professional experience; PE required.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring projects involving overhead and underground systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background checks may be required.
Performance Expectations
  • Submit and deliver annual Employee Performance Appraisals.
  • Train backup personnel.
  • Comply with policies and ensure ISO compliance.
  • Manage work routines and assign activities.
  • Complete duties within scope, time, and budget.
  • Attend meetings and coordinate with other practices.
  • Operate within budget parameters.
  • Provide technical oversight and serve as task manager.
  • Conduct site visits, gather data, and prepare design documents.
  • Review shop drawings and complete training programs.
