Job summary

Galloway & Company is seeking a Civil Engineer to support engineering teams on civil site development and infrastructure projects. You will apply engineering principles to assist in planning site layouts, grading, stormwater systems, utilities, transportation layouts, and fueling infrastructure.

The role involves drafting detailed plans with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, collaborating across disciplines, preparing reports and permitting documentation, and supporting cost estimates and technical writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 3–4 years of hands-on civil engineering/site design experience preferred.
• EIT/ FE eligibility within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

About the Role

In this role you will support engineering teams on a range of civil site development and infrastructure projects Youll apply your knowledge of engineering principles and civil design standards to assist in the planning and execution of site layouts grading erosion control stormwater systems utility networks transportation layouts and even fueling infrastructure Your contributions will help shape the built environmentwhether for subdivisions commercial sites multifamily developments or public works

What Youll Do

Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to draft detailed site plans and engineering drawingsCollaborate closely with team members across disciplines and engage with clients to ensure quality project outcomesAssist in preparing improvement plans technical reports permit applications and specifications for a wide variety of civil projectsSupport calculations related to storm drainage wastewater potable water systems earthwork volumes and cost estimatesApply a problem solving mindset to correlate data identify discrepancies and follow detailed design processes from start to finishDraft civil engineering reports and correspondence using your technical writing skillsContribute to new business development by consistently delivering high quality work that reflects Galloways standards and values

Qualifications

A Bachelors degree in Engineering from a board approved four year engineering program is requiredYou must either hold an Engineering Intern EIEIT certification or be eligible to take the Fundamentals of Engineering FE exam within six months of hireExperience Ideally you have 3 4 years of hands on experience in civil engineering or site designEstimated starting salary for this position is between 90000 102000 based on experience
