Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. is seeking experienced Sr. Circuit Breaker Technicians to operate in a climate-controlled breaker shop at the Dallas Branch.

The role involves repair, testing, and prevention of failures across low, medium, and high voltage gear in a leading power management environment. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in circuit breakers and related mechanical systems, with a background in reading schematics and performing electrical tests.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with electro-mechanical training preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of 480V to 25kV circuit breaker experience or 5+ years in a mechanical industrial environment.
• Experience reading schematics and wiring diagrams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on low & medium voltage circuit breakers (GE, Westinghouse, Powell, ABB, ITE).
• Troubleshoot, rebuild, retrofit, test, and repair switchgear up to 3000A/13.8kV.
• Occasionally travel overnight for on-site breaker testing and repair.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

We are seeking experienced Sr. Circuit Breaker Technicians to work in ourclimate-controlledBreaker Shop.The Dallas Branchhas one of the leading breaker shops in the region and is one of the cleanest, safest and well-organized shops in the country.

• Work on low & medium voltage circuit breakers, including GE, Westinghouse, Powell, ABB, ITE, etc.
• Troubleshoot, rebuild, retrofit, test, and repair low, medium and high voltage switchgear to include the teardown and assembly of breakers, contactors and related switchgear and electrical apparatus, including:
• High-voltage switchgear up to 3000A, SF-6 Vacuum Circuit Breakers ATS, 13.8kV, 60Hz and 11kV, 50H
• Medium-voltage switchgear up to 3100A, Vacuum Circuit Breakers ATS, 34.5kV, 4.16kV, 60 Hz and 6/6kV, 50Hz
• Low-voltage Switchgear up to 3000A, Air Circuit Breakers ATS, 480V, 60Hz and 400V, 50 Hz
• Occasionally travel overnight to jobs sites for on-site breaker testing and repair.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; prefer electro-mechanical training from trade school, apprenticeship or armed services.
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of 480 volt to 25KV circuit breaker experience; or 5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial, production or large component environment.
• Prefer testing skills and understand fundamental electrical and mechanical testing procedures.
• Experienceatan OEM breaker manufacturer a plus.
• Working knowledge of industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel equipmentis beneficial.
• Working knowledge of power systems, power circuit breakers and other switchgear apparatus desirable.
• Must be able to correctly use tools and testing equipment including Megger, digital multimeter, Hi-Pot tester, Oil Dielectric strength tester,multiampsrelay tester, primary & secondary injection set, cable fault detector, & oscilloscope.
• Prefer experience reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Prefer PEARL Certification or equivalent skills/experience to become PEARL Certified.
