Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking an experienced cafeteria operations leader to manage day-to-day café operations from open to close, uphold established costs and quality standards, lead a team of employees, and ensure quality and sanitation standards are exceeded.

The role requires supervising, scheduling, training, and coaching staff; strong communication skills; and familiarity with cash handling and food service equipment. The position offers growth within a national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Three to five years upscale food service experience, including two years at the management level.
• Supervising, scheduling, training, management & coaching skills.
• Knowledge of basic work area operations, company and client policies and procedures.
• Operational knowledge of the cash handling procedures and operation of food service equipment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.

• Plans, assigns and directs job duties

• Performs other duties as assigned
