Apex Companies - CSW is seeking a Sr CAD/GIS Technician in Fort Myers, FL to support municipal infrastructure design and development. You will produce precise 2D/3D drawings of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, and related facilities, collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure timely project delivery.

The role requires Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D proficiency, 5+ years in municipal projects, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control: Ensure drawings and models comply with standards, municipal specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain project files, revise drawings, and assist in preparing documentation packages for approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with drafting technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency.

Position Summary:

Seeking a skilled Sr. CAD Technician with experience in 3D modeling software to support the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to produce precise, detailed drawings and 3D models of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, structural layouts, and related facilities. Your work will help ensureaccurate, efficient, andtimelyproject delivery.

Your Responsibilities as a Sr. CAD/GIS Technician:

• Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design software.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed, and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.

What we’re looking for:

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
• 5 + years experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
