Job summary

Red's All Natural LLC is seeking a Sr. Buyer to own sourcing for raw materials and ingredients. You will lead category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive competitive cost while maintaining supply reliability.

The role supports Operations, Planning, Finance, R&D and Quality across a largely remote structure with optional Franklin, TN office access. You will oversee RFQs, supplier evaluations, and negotiations, develop cost models, and mitigate supply risks while collaborating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement or category management experience in a manufacturing or CP G environment.
• Experience sourcing raw materials, ingredients or direct materials is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, RFQs, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with market analysis, cost modeling and cost forecasting.
• Experience with supplier relationship management, risk mitigation and alternate-source development.
• Ability to translate market and cost information into clear business recommendations.
• Experience supporting new product development, supplier changes or specification updates is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Description

Great procurement takes more than managing cost and securing supply. It takes someone who understands the market, builds strong supplier relationships, anticipates risk and turns information into clear action for the business.

Red's is looking for a Sr. Buyer to own sourcing for assigned raw materials and ingredients used in the manufacture of our products. This role will develop category strategies, lead competitive sourcing and negotiations, manage supplier relationships and help ensure Red's maintains reliable supply at competitive cost.

You will work closely with Operations, Planning, Finance, R&D, Quality and other Supply Chain partners to evaluate opportunities, manage risk and support business growth.

Work Location & Schedule

This position may be remote or hybrid based in Franklin, Tennessee. Remote candidates should be comfortable traveling periodically to Red's facilities, suppliers and business meetings as needed.

Principal Accountabilities

• Own sourcing and category strategy for assigned raw-material and ingredient categories, balancing cost, quality, service, supply continuity and business needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of category markets, cost drivers, supplier capabilities and industry dynamics to support sourcing decisions and cost forecasts.
• Generate and uncover value beyond obvious price opportunities by challenging assumptions, exploring supplier alternatives, evaluating specifications and identifying new ways to improve total cost and business outcomes.
• Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations and commercial negotiations, including pricing, volume commitments, payment terms and other key contract terms.
• Develop and use cost models and market analysis to evaluate supplier proposals, identify opportunities and provide clear recommendations to the business.
• Build strong supplier relationships and hold suppliers accountable for performance, continuous improvement and agreed commercial expectations.
• Proactively identify supply and supplier risks and develop appropriate mitigation and alternate-sourcing strategies.
• Partner cross-functionally to support new products, supplier changes, business initiatives and resolution of sourcing or supply issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Sourcing, Procurement or Category Management experience, preferably within CPG, food manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing raw materials, ingredients, commodities or other direct materials strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, category management, RFQs, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis, commodity intelligence, cost modeling, cost forecasting and evaluating sourcing opportunities.
• Experience with supplier relationship management, supplier performance management, risk mitigation and alternate-source development.
• Ability to translate market, supplier and cost information into clear business recommendations and actions.
• Experience supporting new product development, commercialization, supplier transitions or specification changes preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP, procurement or sourcing systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Finance, Operations or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Professional procurement or supply-chain certification such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, CPIM, APICS certification or equivalent preferred.
